So today I decided that I would take myself off for a walk along the shoreline to Tel Aviv, the weather was beautiful and around 28 degrees, there was a little breeze which kept me somewhat cooler as I walked.
The beach had a few people scattered around sunbathing but the most disturbing thing on the beach were the three naked men, now they weren't all sitting together there was a great deal of sand between each one of them. The first one was face down with his butt checks catching the rays, the second was face up with his knees catching the rays as well as his crinkly bits, and the third one must have thought he was archie, sitting with his left leg splayed and his right leg dropped out to the side, I couldn't bring myself to look too closely at him as I was still dumbfounded from the second gent who's backside I had mistaken for shorts, when in fact it was the saggy creases of his bum cheeks, and all I could think as I continued on my way was 'imagine getting that burnt!'
Thankfully when I arrived at Tel Aviv new port everyone was fully dressed so I stopped off for lunch, which although uninteresting filled a hole. Lunch finished I decided to walk up Dizengoff and catch the bus back home, I thought it would be wise not to walk all the way back home as it was over 9km to get to the new port alone and my feet were howling, the heat and the trainers were not liking one another, I would have taken them off when I sat for another coffee but I was very doubtful that once released I would ever be able to get my pulsating feet back in my trainers, so I left them on.
My bus driver on route to Herzliya was one of those rowdy types, when he didn't like what a passenger said to him he went off on a tirade of Hebrew Im sure would have shamed his mother, fortunately for me although I understood his demeanour I didn't understand a word he said and kept my nose in my book.
Eventually I arrived home and could rest my weary feet whilst watching the fish jumping out of the water in the marina, they are always jumping around down there, mainly I think because they can obviously read the signs displayed around the railings stating 'no fishing'........
